What Is Mobile Occupational Therapy?

Mobile occupational therapy brings professional OT support directly to your preferred environment. Our experienced occupational therapists assess your strengths, challenges, and goals, then work collaboratively to support your function, wellbeing, and participation in everyday life.

Unlike clinic-only services, mobile OT removes the barriers of transport, accessibility, and time. We offer flexible care that fits around your routines, needs, and lifestyle.

We support individuals who:

  • Have difficulty accessing a clinic due to transport, mobility, or fatigue

  • Live in supported accommodation or residential care

  • Are looking for functional assessment in their home, school, or workplace

  • Prefer therapy in familiar surroundings to reduce anxiety and improve outcome

What to Expect from a Mobile OT Session

We begin with a thorough assessment in your home or chosen location. This includes:

  • Discussion of goals, health history, and routines

  • Functional observation (e.g. self-care, mobility, fine motor tasks)

  • Home safety and environmental considerations

  • Identification of barriers to participation

Individualised OT Plan

We create a personalised program that may include:

  • Daily living skills development

  • Sensory regulation strategies

  • Assistive equipment education

  • Cognitive support and executive function strategies

  • Family or caregiver coaching

  • Recommendations for home modifications or technology

Ongoing Therapy & Support

We provide therapy in familiar, meaningful contexts – whether that's cooking in your kitchen, dressing at home, or learning routines in the classroom. We also liaise with your broader care team to support holistic progress.
