Thrive Health Therapies is a NDIS registered provider of Physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for self-managed, plan managed and NDIA managed participants.

Our Physiotherapists help to improve your independence, mobility, movement, balance, strength, and coordination through a range of evidence-based therapies.

Our NDIS Physiotherapy services include neurological rehabilitation, pain management, hydrotherapy, balance training and falls prevention, gait analysis, assistive technology assessment and prescription, strength and exercise programs, management of chronic conditions, and manual handling assessments and training.

NDIS Physiotherapy Services We Offer

  • Our Physiotherapists provide specialised rehabilitation for people with a wide variety of diagnosis. This includes conditions such as spinal cord injury, stroke, acquired brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, chromosomal disorders, intellectual disabilities, and amputees. We work with you step-by-step to help achieve your short and long-term goals.

  • Our experts provide evidence-based guidance to help manage pain. This may include advice regarding ways to self-manage your symptoms and the formulation of a plan to get back to activities you enjoy. We can also assess for pain relief assistive technologies such as a TENS machines and provide education so that they are implemented effectively and safely.

  • Hydrotherapy is an evidenced-based therapy that makes exercising easier for people with mobility or balance difficulties. Our physiotherapists offer hydrotherapy at multiple pools around Adelaide. The warmth of the water can also reduce pain and the load on the body whilst exercising whilst promoting relaxation and improving mental health. Sessions are tailored to the individual participant and may include strength or balance exercises, mobility practise, or improving general fitness and your ability to swim.

  • We offer balance training in the comfort of your own home. Improving your balance can greater your capacity to transfer and mobilise, ultimately allowing to more independence in the home and community. People who have reduced balance are at much higher risk of falls which can lead to long term injury and disability. We work with you to improve your balance whilst implementing strategies to ensure your home environment is safe and the risk of falls is reduced.

  • Our Physiotherapists can work with you to improve the safety of your gait (walking). They will thoroughly assess your mobility and determine whether you may benefit from a gait aid such as a walking stick or walking frame. They will measure and fit the aid to your individual needs and teach how to safely use it.

  • Assistive technology is any specialised equipment that enhances the learning, working and daily living for people with disabilities. Our physiotherapists work with you to determine whether you may benefit from any assistive technology.

  • Our physiotherapists are experts at tailoring exercise programs to suit individual participant’s physical capabilities and goals. Our programs may include exercises which aim to improve strength, mobility, balance, co-ordination, and fitness. We utilise an online exercise prescription software. Learn more about it here.

  • We can assess your ability to transfer and mobilise and develop a manual handling plan. This plan can be used to guide your support workers so that they can best support your daily needs. We also offer manual handling training to support workers.
